Adopt a Resident

Medical education is an expensive proposition. Many students will take loans out to pay for their medical education. The nationwide average for a medical education is approximately $25,000.00 dollars per year. This does not include the income that is lost because of going to school! Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is committed to helping medical students and residents make "ends meet".

Our hospital foundation has a scholarship program that is designed to help medical students with the cost of medical school, but what happens when you get out of medical school? You start your residency program and you receive a small salary to help offset living expenses; however, you still have your loans and more than likely you have a family that is depending on you.

What could you do if you were to receive an extra paycheck every month while you were in your residency? Would you take your family out to eat? Buy a few extra toys for your kids? Treat yourself to a movie?

We now have a program that is specifically geared towards resident physicians. This program will allow you to receive a monthly stipend from CRMC once you commit to practice medicine in our city and our hospital. Consider this your extra payday!
