COFFEYVILLE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

FINANCIAL POLICY

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is committed to provide you and your family members the best care regardless of your ability to pay. However, we must collect for services in order to be able to serve the health care needs of our community.  We also want to assist you in resolving your debt. The following describes our financial policies.

  • Emergency or urgent care: You will receive necessary medical services regardless of your ability to pay. You will be asked to check out at the admissions desk before leaving the facility so that you can make arrangements to pay for your treatment.

  • Elective or scheduled services: We will request payment for any deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurances at the time of service when you check in.

  • If you have insurance:  We will file a valid healthcare claim to your insurance company if you have given us all required insurance information.

  • Your responsibility: You are responsible for deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and non-covered services.  We suggest that you review your insurance benefits contract so that you understand your benefits. There are circumstances when you may be responsible for the entire bill if insurance carrier denies the claim because you did not provide required information.

  • Overpayment:  Refunds will be given within 30 days. However, a refund cannot be processed until all past due accounts are paid in full.

  • Collection procedures:  If your account is not collected by the hospital after normal in-house collection procedures, it may be referred to a collection agency, magistrate, or attorney for further collection action in accordance with the hospital’s established guidelines.

MAKING YOUR PAYMENTS

Payments may be made by mail, in person at the cashier’s office located in the front lobby, at the 3rd Floor Business Office in the Administration building, or after normal business hours in Admissions. Payments may also be made on our web site, www.crmcinc.com.  For your convenience we accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

  • If you have insurance, we expect payment for deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance balances at the time of service. Most HMO and PPO plans require the Hospital to collect these amounts as part of their contract with the Hospital.

  • If you do not have insurance, we will request forty percent (40%) of the estimated charges for outpatient services at the time of service. You may be referred to meet with one of our Financial Advisors prior to your appointment.

  • Payment of prior outstanding accounts may be requested prior to receiving elective outpatient services or scheduling a new admission, unless the Business Office approves specific payment arrangements.

  • If you are unable to pay for non-emergency outpatient services at the time of service, we may reschedule your appointment so arrangements can be made.

  • Extended payment arrangements may be considered on an individual basis during your consultation with a financial advisor. There are various programs available such as bank loans and short-term monthly payment plans.

  • Discounts are available if you have no insurance and are paying your account in full within 30 days of service.  Please see a financial advisor for details.
