When you need help right away, the best place to go is the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911. Also called the ER, our emergency department is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with highly trained medical personnel and the latest technology. Nurses and doctors are there all day and night to care for medical problems that need quick attention. Personnel in the lab, surgery, and medical imaging are also available to support any emergency.
General
In 2005, our Emergency Department was built with state-of-the-art equipment, 2 Trauma rooms and 5 Cardiac Rooms. On average our personnel see about 22 patients a day.
Doctors in the Community
Unlike some hospital who use contract physicians in their ER, CRMC has local physicians who serve our ER. CRMC is special because if you have an emergency you are likely to see a familiar face. Our ER physicians are the same physicians you see in the doctor's office when you are sick. These same doctors rotate duty in the ER because they are invested in you and committed to our community.

Our award winning Emergency Department is staffed with highly trained trauma nurses, support staff, and physicans who all have advanced cardiac life support and advanced trauma life support training.
Timeliness of Care
We also understand that the timeliness of your care is essential to you and our staff. At CRMC, our Emergency Department treats life threatening emergencies such as cardiac, trauma and specialized emergencies with immediate life-saving care. Other emergencies are triaged, meaning they are taken in order of severity of illness. At CRMC, your emergency is treated in the most timely manner, according to your condtion. Caring for you is what we do.
